SDM Soukhyavana to Launch Annual Paddy Transplantation Drive July 19

The Sub‑Divisional Magistrate of Soukhyavana has announced the start of its annual paddy transplantation drive, scheduled for July 19, targeting farmers in the district’s low‑lying villages.
The drive is part of the state’s “Planting for Prosperity” scheme, which encourages timely seedling transplanting to boost yield and protect crops from erratic monsoon rain. Local officials say the initiative will also help farmers generate early income by selling surplus seedlings and accessing government subsidies.
