SEBI Approves IPOs for Manipal Healthcare and RentoMojo, Boosting India's Capital Markets

By ETF Desk

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has approved the initial public offerings (IPOs) of Manipal Health and RentoMojo, allowing both companies to raise capital in public markets.

Manipal Health, a unit of the renowned Manipal Hospitals Group located in Udupi district, aims to use the proceeds for expanding its network of hospitals and digital health services. RentoMojo, an online marketplace that facilitates short‑term rentals of goods and services, plans to boost its technology and market reach. SEBI’s clearance followed a rigorous regulatory review that affirmed the companies’ financial health, governance standards and alignment with Indian capital markets guidelines.

The approval is expected to enhance Udupi’s economic profile, encouraging local investment and innovation. New capital injections could translate into higher employment, improved infrastructure and maturity of the region’s start‑up ecosystem. The move also offers investors fresh opportunities in the healthcare and technology sectors.
