Seven Schoolchildren Injured After Bus Overturns Into Ditch Near Manipal

A school bus traveling from Manipal Primary School to a nearby temple stop careened into a deep ditch near the town of Manipal on Tuesday afternoon, leaving seven students injured.

The accident occurred on the Manipal‑Kurubamah road, part of Udupi district’s busy commuter route. Witnesses say the bus lost control while negotiating a sharp bend, flipping onto its side before plunging into a muddy ditch.
