Police raided an animal hoarding site in Udupi District for the seventh time, unearthing a dead calf and 17 other rescued animals, including dogs, cats and birds.

The facility had been repeatedly flagged for illegal animal confinement, prompting a sustained campaign by local authorities and animal welfare groups to dismantle the so‑called “house of horrors.”
