Speed radar cameras operational at six Udupi highway sites

In a move to enhance road safety, six speed radar cameras have become operational at major highway locations across Udupi District. The cameras are positioned on the NH 66 segment between Udupi and Karkala, the Kallada–Udupi stretch, and four spots along the Temben–Udupi route.

Udupi District authorities have implemented the radar system to address persistent speed-related accidents. By providing real-time monitoring and enforcement, the technology is expected to deter motorists from exceeding speed limits, a common cause of collisions in the region.
