Sunken Fishing Boat Drifts Ashore on Ucchila Beach

Several hours after a fishing boat went missing off the coast of Udupi, its wreckage washed up onto the shoreline of Ucchila beach. Divers and fishermen were seen pulling the sunken vessel into the surf, where it was found largely intact despite sustaining significant damage from the wrecking process.

According to local officials, the boat had been sailing in the region when heavy seas caused it to sink. The Udupi Coast Guard dispatched a search operation that concluded early in the morning, after confirming the loss of the vessel and its crew. The wreckage has since been brought onto the beach by a combined effort of volunteers and salvage teams, who are now assessing potential hazards to beachgoers and navigational safety.
