Surathkal Coast Boat Capsizes, Six Fishermen Rescued

A small fishing vessel capsized off the Surathkal coast near Mangalore early on Monday morning, trapping six crew members aboard.

Surathkal, a busy fishing hub on Karnataka’s coast, routinely hosts dozens of small boats setting out in the Arabian Sea. According to local reports, the vessel was navigating near the shallow sandbars when heavy waves induced a sudden roll, causing the boat to tip over.
