Tata Harrier EV Launches in Manipal with On‑Road Price ₹24.77 Lakh

Manipal will become home to the Tata Harrier EV, a premium all‑electric SUV hit by the Indian automaker’s electrification push. The vehicle is slated to start deliveries in July 2026 at an on‑road cost of ₹24.77 lakh, covering taxes, insurance and the registration fee.
Designed to compete with the Mahindra XUV700 EV and other compact SUVs, the Harrier EV offers an 82‑kWh battery capable of a 400‑kilometer range on a single charge, a 450‑hp electric motor and a 5.7‑million-parameter camera system. Tata has confirmed that the vehicle will be available in both new‑air‑conditioning and advanced infotainment packages that fit the needs of urban and suburban consumers in the coastal Karnataka region.
The launch is expected to boost local gear‑pedal sales and free‑float charging infrastructure, giving residents of Udupi District and surrounding towns a viable electric alternative. Automakers in Karnataka are racing to meet the government’s target of 30% electric vehicles by 2025, and Manipal’s inclusion of the Harrier EV means that the state’s own production hubs—including the fever‑yellow facility in Udupi—to maintain higher supply rates and strengthen public transport.
