Three Arrested in Udupi for MDMA and Hydro Ganja Worth 3.31 Lakh

Three men were arrested by police in Udupi district after a raid uncovered a stash of illicit drugs – MDMA and hydroganja – reportedly valued at 3.31 lakh rupees.
The raid, conducted by the local drug squad in early March, found the drugs in a residence near Nandikere. MDMA, also known as ecstasy, is classified as a Class A narcotic under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, while hydroganja, a derivative of cannabis, is regulated under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
The seizure is part of a broader crackdown on drug trafficking in Karnataka, with authorities warning that possession can lead to severe legal consequences, including imprisonment and fines. The case highlights the ongoing challenge of drug misuse among local youth.
