Three Drug Peddlers Arrested in Udupi; MDMA and Hydro Ganja Seized

Three men were taken into custody by Udupi police on Tuesday after a raid on a suspected drug operation. The officers seized 120 mL of MDMA gel and 16 kg of hydro‑ganja, a potent form of cannabis, along with paraphernalia for drug distribution.
The operation, conducted in the suburb of Bajpe, followed a tip-off about a high‑volume drug trade that had been disrupting local communities. Police spokesperson Colonel Ashok K. said the bust was part of a broader campaign to curb the spread of illicit narcotics in coastal Karnataka, citing increased seizures in recent months.
Authorities now hold the three suspects on charges of drug peddling and possession of controlled substances. The seizure aims to deter drug trafficking in the district and protect vulnerable populations, with law‑enforcement officials urging citizens to report any suspicious activities.
