Three drug peddlers arrested with MDMA and hydro ganja in Udupi

Udupi – Police officials arrested three individuals on Friday after they were discovered carrying a quantity of MDMA and hydro‑ganja near the local bus stand. The trio were apprehended while attempting to move the illegal substances across the town's outskirts.
The raid comes amid a growing concern over drug trafficking in the district, with authorities noting a spike in the use of synthetic drugs and methoxetamine derivatives. Hydro‑ganja, a mixture of natural cannabis with synthetic chemicals, is banned under the Narcotics Control Act, attracting severe penalties.
