Police in Udupi detained three young men after a reported theft of diesel worth approximately ₹4,711 from a local petrol station earlier this week.

The incident was discovered when the shopkeeper noted that the fuel meters had been tampered with, and the loss was estimated at ₹4,711. All three suspects, aged 18 to 23, were taken into custody on the spot and later booked under relevant sections of the law.
