TMA Pai Hospital to Relocate to Kadekar from June 1, Udupi

The Karnataka government announced that the TMA Pai Hospital, a flagship multi‑specialty center in Udupi, will shift operations to a new complex at Kadekar effective June 1. The move follows a state‑wide plan to upgrade rural health infrastructure in the district.
Previously situated on the erstwhile Udupi‑Bale section, the hospital has served as the region’s primary medical hub for years. The Kadekar site, a recently completed 250‑bed facility equipped with advanced diagnostic equipment and a dedicated trauma unit, will allow the hospital to broaden its specialty services and reduce overcrowding.
Patients and staff will be transferred to the new location in a phased manner to minimise disruption. The relocation is expected to improve accessibility for residents of Udupi and adjoining taluks, and the former site is slated for redevelopment into a mixed‑use civic space.
