Tourism Ministry Targets Four Udupi Destinations for World‑Class Development

The Tourism Ministry of India has identified four destinations in Udupi district, Karnataka, to be transformed into world‑class attractions, the ministry said on Thursday.

Udupi, known for its pristine beaches, temples and culinary heritage, has long attracted domestic visitors. The selected sites—chosen for their cultural significance, natural beauty and potential for sustainable tourism—will undergo infrastructure upgrades, improve visitor facilities, and implement stricter environmental safeguards.
