Udupi Air Quality Index Falls to Good Level Amid National Pollution Hikes

Udupi's Air Quality Index (AQI) amounted to 45 today, falling within the 'Good' band as reported by IQAir’s monitoring data. This indicates that the concentration of fine particulate matter, ozone and other pollutants is below the threshold considered harmful to public health.
The report is part of IQAir's comprehensive air quality monitoring for cities across India. While Udupi enjoys cleaner air, other urban centres such as Delhi and Mumbai continue to register AQI levels in the 'Unhealthy' to 'Very Unhealthy' range, largely due to heavy vehicular traffic, industrial emissions and seasonal dust events.
