Udupi Air Quality Index Improves, Reflecting Wider National Efforts

Udupi, a coastal taluk of Karnataka, recorded a noticeable drop in its Air Quality Index (AQI) on Thursday, according to data from IQAir's real‑time monitoring platform.

The AQI, which measures concentrations of pollutants such as PM2.5, PM10, ozone, nitrogen dioxide and carbon monoxide, has been a growing concern in the state, especially during the pre‑monsoon season when dust and vehicular emissions spike.
