Udupi BJP Youth Wing Calls for Action to Halt School Vehicle Ingress

The Young Leaders’ wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Udupi district has issued a formal request for action against privately owned vehicles entering school premises. Officials believe that unregulated traffic poses a safety risk to students and disrupts the regular school routine.
According to representatives from the Yuva Morcha, the growing number of vehicles passing through the proximity of schools has led to frequent accidents and congested traffic during peak hours. The group has highlighted that many parents still allow or have no choice but to drive their children to school, resulting in sporadic traffic patterns that are difficult for traffic police to manage.
The party’s youth wing is urging municipal authorities and the Department of Education to issue clear guidelines and enforce these restrictions to safeguard children. They stress that a coordinated approach between traffic police and educational institutions will reduce accidents, promote safe pedestrian walkways, and improve overall school safety.
