Udupi Court Faces Second Bomb Threat in a Week, Officials Investigate

In the early hours of Monday, the Udupi District Court was rattled by a telephone bomb threat, the second such incident in the last seven days. The call, made from an anonymous number, prompted immediate lockdown of the courthouse and a sweep by security personnel.

Earlier this month, a similar hoax call was recorded, which had led to a brief halt in court proceedings and the arrival of additional police forces to verify the danger. Authorities confirmed that no explosive device was found during the subsequent inspection, and the suspected caller was traced to a residential area outside the district.
