Udupi Court Tightens Security After Bomb Threat Email

On Tuesday, an anonymous email containing a bomb threat was received by the Udupi district court, prompting an immediate review by court officials.

The court, situated in the coastal district of Karnataka, has previously upgraded its security protocols following an earlier incident in 2019, and is now conducting an extensive sweep of the premises and all visitors to ensure no threat remains.

In response, security personnel increased patrols, implemented metal‑detector checks, and temporarily suspended in‑court sessions for approximately two hours.
