Udupi Court to Visually Inspect Daily After False Threats

Udupi district courts will begin daily physical security checks in response to a hoax bomb threat that triggered widespread alarm among the public.

The false alarm, which came in the form of an email claiming a bomb was planted at the court premises, was debunked by the police and court officials. Despite the lack of any real danger, law‑enforcement and the Udupi Judicial Office decided to increase vigilance to maintain public confidence and discourage any future provocations.

With the daily inspections, security teams will walk the court complex, verify access points and check for any suspicious objects before and after court hours.
