Udupi Courts to Conduct Daily Security Checks Following Hoax Bomb Threats

Udupi courts will implement daily security checks after a wave of hoax bomb threats rattled the city. The alerts, which targeted the High Court as well as several district courts, had been found to be unfounded during a police investigation.

Police confirmed that no real threats were identified and that the alerts appeared to be deliberate attempts to create fear. In response, court authorities have announced that emergency sweeps and additional surveillance will be conducted every morning to reassure visitors and staff.
