Udupi DC Clarifies: Voters Only Need to Submit Documents if Listed Missing

Udupi District Collector S. Ganesh C announced today that voters who find their names missing from the draft electoral register must submit supporting documents. The directive, issued in response to queries from residents, clarifies that citizens already listed need not take further action.
The advisory comes as election officials prepare the final voter roll for the forthcoming Karnataka state assembly polls. The collector noted that the draft list, released on Monday, has already accounted for over 650,000 voters in the district. Those with discrepancies were requested to provide proof such as a voter ID, passport or land ownership records by next Friday.
