Udupi DC Launches SIR Process with Door‑to‑Door Visits

The Deputy Commissioner of Udupi District has initiated the SIR process by conducting door‑to‑door surveys across the district. The SIR framework stands for Survey, Inspection, Recommendation, and is designed to collect ground‑level data on civic amenities and infrastructure needs.
The visits cover all five taluks and multiple gram panchayats, where officials recorded conditions of water supply, sanitation, roads, and public grievance points. According to the DC, the information will shape a comprehensive improvement plan for the 2025‑26 development budget.
