The District Commissioner (DC) of Udupi district in Karnataka has urged tourists to prioritise their safety as they visit the popular coastal area, according to a report by The Times of India.

This appeal follows a series of incidents involving foreign visitors. The DC said that the local tourism office, police and community groups are working together to tighten safety protocols, enhance signage and run public awareness campaigns.
