Udupi DC Urges Voter Enrollment and Participation in SIR Program

In Udupi district, the Deputy Commissioner Ajit Kumar Y on Friday called upon all eligible voters to actively participate in Scheduled Intervention Programs (SIR) and to ensure that they are on the electoral roll.

The SIR, a recently introduced initiative by the Ministry of Rural Development, aims to improve civic participation by tying voter enrolment with community development projects. Y stressed that registration is mandatory to qualify for the program's benefits and to participate in municipal elections.
