Udupi Deputy Commissioner Calls for Voter Enrollment in SIR

The Deputy Commissioner of Udupi district has issued a call to all eligible voters to actively participate in the Single Integrated Registration (SIR) scheme and enroll in the electoral roll.
After the introduction of SIR in 2019, the Election Commission of India has been consolidating voter lists from various sources to improve accuracy and reduce duplication. By enrolling in SIR, voters in Udupi will have a single, verified record that is recognised across all elections, thereby simplifying polling procedures and enhancing transparency.
The Deputy Commissioner said that adequate enrolment will help ensure that every citizen’s vote is counted correctly and will foster greater electoral participation.
