Udupi Development Commissioner Orders Speed Governors for Goods Vehicles

The Udupi Development Commissioner (DC) has directed all goods vehicles operating within the district to be fitted with speed governors, an enforcement measure aimed at controlling excessive speeds on local roads.

Speed governors, electronic devices that limit the top speed of a vehicle, are already mandated for public buses and certain commercial fleets, but the new directive extends the requirement to private cargo vehicles.
