Udupi District Court Tightens Security After Bomb Threat Email

Last week, the Udupi district court authorities received an email threatening a bomb explosion at the court premises. The message, which was sent from an anonymous sender, warned that the bomb would detonate if no action was taken.

In response, court wardens, in coordination with the Karnataka Police and the local crime branch, enhanced security protocols: a full lockdown of the court complex, additional CCTV coverage, and a pause on non-urgent court activities. An investigation into the source of the email was also launched, and the court has not released further details to avoid compromising the probe.
