Udupi District Faces Drinking Water Crisis: 146 Villages May Lack Access

Officials in Udupi district have warned that a significant portion of rural communities may soon confront scarcity of potable water, jeopardizing health and livelihoods.

The report, authored by the district’s water resources department, identifies 146 villages that lack reliable access to treated drinking water. Many of these communities rely on unfiltered sources that are both limited and contaminated.
