Gold traders in Udupi greeted a mild uptick in gold prices on Thursday, with 24‑carat gold climbing to ₹7,650 per gram and 22‑carat gold settling at ₹6,800 per gram.
These rates follow a slight rise from the previous day and mirror the broader uptick seen across Karnataka, where the state gold rate has edged upward by about 1.2% since early May.
The upward movement is driven in part by increased demand from the jewellery sector and a reaction to global commodity cues, signalling a steady yet cautious investment climate for retail buyers and small‑scale producers alike. Source: Google News – Udupi.
