Udupi Incident: Mentally Distressed Woman Attempts Knife Attack

At around 3.30 p.m. on Sunday, police received a call about a disturbance near Mahatma Manjunath High School in Udupi. Responding officers found a woman holding a knife and moving aggressively towards pedestrians.
Witnesses reported that the woman, who appeared to be in a mentally disturbed condition, shouted incoherent threats before attempting to strike anyone in the vicinity. Security guards on the school premises quickly blocked her path, and police officers used de‑escalation tactics to subdue her without bloodshed.
