Udupi Landslide Risk Eases, Finds GSI Study

According to the study, the risk of landslides in Udupi district is relatively low, thanks to the geological composition of the area. The district administration has been working closely with the GSI to identify areas that are prone to landslides and take preventive measures to mitigate the risk.
The study was conducted after a series of landslides were reported in the district in the past, causing damage to property and infrastructure. The district administration had sought the help of the GSI to assess the risk of landslides in the region and suggest measures to prevent them.
The findings of the study are expected to bring relief to the residents of Udupi district, who had been living in fear of landslides. The district administration has promised to take all necessary measures to prevent landslides and ensure the safety of the residents.
