Udupi man booked for submitting fake Aadhaar card to secure bail

A 30-year-old man from Udupi district has been booked for allegedly submitting a forged Aadhaar card to secure bail in a court case. The Udupi police have registered a case under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the accused, who has been identified as Ramesh.
The accused had submitted the forged Aadhaar card to the court to secure bail in a case related to a property dispute. However, the court became suspicious of the document and referred it to the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) for verification. The UIDAI confirmed that the Aadhaar card submitted by the accused was forged, leading to his arrest.
The incident has raised concerns about the misuse of identity documents and the need for stricter verification processes. The Udupi police have assured that they will take strict action against those found guilty of submitting forged documents to secure bail or other benefits.
