Udupi Man Loses ₹2.12 Lakh After Hospital Debit Card Transaction

After paying for a routine checkup at a local hospital, B. Rajendra of Udupi was shocked to see a ₹2.12 lakh bill on his debit card statement.

The transaction, recorded on 12 February, was reportedly for "diagnostic workup" but the amount far exceeded any standard charges in the region. Hospital officials have not yet commented, and the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has been contacted to investigate a possible card fraud.
