Udupi man loses ₹2.12 lakh after hospital debit card usage

A 45‑year‑old Udupi resident, R. K. Vijay, learned that three months after paying a medical bill at a private hospital, his debit card transactions revealed a mysterious deduction of ₹212,000.

Vijay purchased the treatment from the City Hospital, which is one of the region’s leading private medical centres. According to the bank statement, the ₹212,000 was posted on the 12th of June as a single transaction, with no supporting invoice or service record attached.
