Udupi District faced a review of its public healthcare facilities today when state minister Abdul Khader visited hospitals across the area, announcing a ₹28‑cr funding package for infrastructure upgrades.

During the trip, Khader toured the district hospital in Udupi, several primary health centers, and a recently renovated eye camp, noting gaps in equipment and staffing while highlighting the need for modernisation to meet growing demand.
