Udupi Police Arrest Seven in Homestay Raid, MDMA, Ganja Confiscated

Police officers from the Udupi district police cordoned off a private homestay on a Sunday afternoon, arresting seven individuals suspected of trafficking controlled substances. The operation, part of a broader crackdown on drug smuggling in the region, led to the seizure of more than 2 kilograms of MDMA and an equal amount of ganja.
The raid comes after a series of incidents involving illegal drug trade along the coastal belt of Karnataka. Authorities had previously clamped down on a similar smuggling ring that operated through small hotels and homestays, which cater to tourists in and around Udupi.
