Udupi Police Detain 20+ KRV Activists in Protest Against CM Vijay

In Udupi district on Tuesday, more than 20 members of the Karanataka Rajyabhisek (KRV) organisation were arrested by police for attempting a protest to oppose Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy’s policies. The activists were reportedly on their way to organize a rally outside the district headquarters, but were intercepted by officers before they could assemble.
The police cited the maintenance of law and order and the violation of the Public Assembly Act as reasons for the arrests. The KRV leaders had planned a demonstration to raise concerns about developmental projects in the region, believing the chief minister’s decisions had adversely affected local communities.
