Udupi Police Search Court Complex After Email Bomb Threat

In the late afternoon of Thursday, Udupi district police conducted a search operation at the court complex following a suspicious email that warned of a potential bomb threat. Officers secured the building, interviewed registrars and staff, and used explosive detection canines to locate the source of the alert.
The email, received on a public safety hotline, prompted immediate action by the Karnataka Police’s rapid response unit. Inspectors and forensic teams meticulously inspected corridors, court rooms, and the adjacent law library for any signs of improvised explosive devices, while security cameras were monitored for unusual activity.
