Udupi district witnessed a generous monsoon rainfall this week, with several areas recording above-average precipitation levels, according to the latest meteorological bulletin.

Nevertheless, the Maharashtra Agricultural Systems Research Centre (MASRC) has issued an orange warning alert for paddy fields, noting potential post‑monsoon waterlogging and pest outbreaks that could jeopardise crop yield.
