Udupi Records Better Air Quality, India Decreases Pollution According to IQAir

According to IQAir, Udupi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) improved to a rating of 42 on the most recent assessment, placing the city in the Good category.

Previous readings for Udupi had hovered around moderate levels (AQI 50–70) during the monsoon and post-monsoon months, making this drop significant. Experts attribute the decline to reduced vehicular traffic, lower industrial emissions, and favorable weather patterns that dispersed pollutants.
