Udupi's Farmers Get a Boost with 'Sasya Santhe' Event

The 'Sasya Santhe' event, which translates to 'Farmers' Fair' in English, was inaugurated by the district in-charge Minister, with the presence of local officials and farmers. The event will run for three days, offering farmers a chance to sell their fresh produce, including fruits, vegetables, and flowers, at competitive prices.
The event is not only a platform for farmers to showcase their produce but also an opportunity for the public to purchase fresh and organic products directly from the farmers. This initiative is expected to promote local farming, reduce the reliance on external markets, and support sustainable agriculture practices in the region.
As per the Horticulture Department, the event is expected to attract a large number of farmers and buyers, thereby boosting the local economy. The department has made necessary arrangements for the event, including stalls, transportation, and marketing support for the farmers.
