Udupi Shuts 130 Illegal Accommodations During Sewage Treatment Violation Raid

The Udupi district administration recently conducted a massive raid on illegal homestays and resorts in the area, resulting in the shutdown of 109 homestays and 21 resorts. The action was taken due to the non-compliance of these establishments with sewage treatment regulations.
The raid was conducted in accordance with the instructions of the Hon'ble High Court of Karnataka, which had directed the district administration to take strict action against establishments violating environmental norms.
