Udupi Students Achieve 89% Success Rate in First SSLC Readiness Test

Nearly 89 percent of students in Udupi District passed the first SSLC preparatory examination, a key milestone in Karnataka’s secondary education framework.

The SSLC preparatory test, administered with the purpose of identifying learning gaps before the final SSLC examination, covers subjects such as Kannada, English, mathematics and science. This year’s test was held in 22 taluk schools, and the nearly 89 per cent pass rate surpasses the district’s average of 84 per cent recorded in 2022.

The outcome is expected to boost student confidence and signal the effectiveness of recent educational reforms, including increased teacher training and revision of the curriculum.
