Udupi woman scammed out of ₹65 lakh by cyber criminals posing as Mumbai police

A 66‑year‑old woman from Udupi lost Rs 65 lakh after cyber criminals posing as Mumbai police officers tricked her into remitting money.

The fraudsters reportedly called her, claiming to be investigating a fake criminal case, and persuaded her to transfer the amount to a purported police account.
