Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Prays at Sri Krishna Math in Udupi

On 29 September 2023, Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made a goodwill visit to the Sri Krishna Math in Udupi, Karnataka. She kneaded the sacred offerings and offered prayers to Lord Krishna in accordance with traditional rites.
The monastery, situated in the spiritual heart of Udupi district, is renowned for its vibrant festivals and attracts numerous pilgrims each year. It serves as a centre for Srivaishnava religious and cultural activities in the region.
The minister’s presence was welcomed by local residents and served to strengthen ties between the central government and the community's religious institutions.
