The campus‑wide placement season for the 2026 graduating classes of VIT, SRM, and Manipal has drawn attention from students across Karnataka, as the three institutions offer markedly different prospects in terms of placement rates and salary packages.
According to the latest data from Careers360, VIT’s placement rate sits near 98%, with an average salary package hovering around ₹9 lakh per annum. SRM attracts a slightly lower applicant pool but enjoys a high placement momentum, with a 93% offer rate and a top‑tier package averaging ₹15 lakh per year, led by recruiters such as TCS, Infosys, and Amazon. Manipal, one of the oldest private institutions in the region, reports a placement rate of 90% and an average package of ₹7 lakh, largely driven by firms in the IT, finance and consulting sectors.
These disparities highlight how institutional reputation, industry connectivity and alumni networks influence student outcomes, and they underscore the importance of early career planning for the incoming cohorts. Source: Google News – Manipal.
