Woman Arrested for Fraud and Blackmailing Udupi Real Estate Entrepreneur

On Tuesday, Udupi police arrested a 32‑year‑old woman after she was accused of cheating and blackmailing a prominent real estate entrepreneur in the district.

The entrepreneur, Mr. R. Rajesh, alleged that the accused forged documents to claim a portion of his property sale and threatened to release compromising footage unless she paid a ransom of ₹3 lakh. Police say the woman’s claims will be investigated under the Indian Penal Code.
